What Have I Thought About The School

Both semesters 2009 and 2010 have been really fun because when we had finished our TAKS test,we have done better things than in last semester and that makes me feel happy because some of us did pass the test and 16% of us got commended,and even though someone didn't pass it or they just failed it,they should feel proud of themselves because they tried their best and they showed what they got,so they showed skill or strategy for them to pass the TAKS test.What I liked most of our school is that we get to go to fun field trips because the test has passed and I feel proud of myself because I have not been into a fun school like East Austin College Prep Academy because in my other school they just teached us and they didn't showed us like examples for us to get it 100% that we know how to prove our answer,but this is a different school,you get to go t[o tutoring for you to pass every test,they give you sometimes free time because we are good,all of those things made it a special school,so we are part of a family! We have been a good school for others even for visitors,so I don't really know what to say because this school has been wonderful to me teachers are helpful,caring,trustworthy,and they are really concerned about how our future awaits us,so I really think that this school is the best school in town and that we are smart enough to MAX THE TAKS every time we have one!We are really trying to succeed every time we have trouble with something,so the best advice that I have gotten is,"To keep trying and don't listen to others that tell you that you are a loser!"I have to mention that advice did help me with everything.I have learned many things in school and I have been convinced that this school is what I'm looking for!EAST SIDE TIGERS ROCK!!!!!I'm going to work really really harder for me to pass the TAKS,but not only to pass it,I want to get commended!

Charlotte’s Web opens the door to a magical world, which a young girl named Fern finds herself a part of. Fern spends her free time with Wilbur the pig whom she loves and the other barn animals who play a large part in the life of Wilbur. Charlotte A. Cavatica, the large grey spider, befriends Wilbur and helps him deal with the shocking news that his life will end as bacon on someone’s plate. Charlotte goes as far as coming up with an interesting plan that only this spider could carry out with the help of Templeton the rat who never does anything unless there is something in it for himself to help Wilbur escape death.Although he didn't really win the prize of being first pig,they saw the web that said Humble and that made everyone be happy and once again be surprised,so he won a prize and they will not kill Wilbur.When Wilbur gave the great news to Charlotte,Charlotte had said that she was dying which made Wilbur be worried,but she explained how the cycle of a spider is like that.Although Charlotte died,she was still Wilbur's friend and when the baby spiders came,they were so happy that the other spiders left,but 3 remained in Charlotte's door each one of them gave their name which they are:Arania,Nellie,and Joy,and even is Charlotte had died,she still lives on many other animals heart and so does Wilbur.And even though it's based as a Fiction book and it's really sad at the end of the story,I do know that it is one of my favorite books,and I also agree that Charlotte explained how Wilbur made him a beautiful spider to others!

What Did I Think About The TAKS?

What I really thought about the Taks is that,it was really easy for me because I had prepared myself and I really didn't think that I would've done it because I thought,"Oh my gosh!I don't think that I can pass it because it's going to be harder than the other Tests because I'm in 6th grade!",I said.When I had realized that the test wasn't bad at all I started to focus more I had remembered one thing that my mom said,"If you pass,I'll buy you a Game boy."I didn't really think about that at first,at first I had thought that the teachers did this for us and they had prepared for us and that they are really proud of us seeing us growing up,and that we didn't have to,but they also wanted to see us be,commended!I tried my best at everything,so I really think that I either passed or being commended.

The other test was the Reading TAKS test.I didn't really had to worry about the reading test.You want to know why?Because we had strategies that could help us with it,and I did really agreed that they were useful to us because when we had tried the Benchmark of the Reading,everyone did good than the first time,and that really made a difference to our grades well,I think that it had raised.Anyways,I think that in Reading,I did get commended,that's what I hope so!I got a little bit nervous because they had said that there were going to be 6 passages,so that kind of threw me off because what if I mess up on focusing more,so I didn't even want to try thinking of it,but I think that I did pass,or should I say,commended!

I think that everyone attacked the TAKS test because every teacher at our campus had worked really really really hard for us to get commended on it,even the principal she encouraged us that we can do it and that we had worked hard and that it would be very sorry that we didn't pass,but we kept trying and trying and we didn't pass,so I think that we should give a very big thank you to them because they worked their backs off!I really think that if we believe in our teachers,and first of all,ourselves,we can succeed all of the tests that can come to our future now that we go to college and we had seen that believing on ourselves makes a huge difference to everyone,including yourself!

What Have I Learned About Earth Day?

The things that I have learned about Earth Day is that you don't want to add more trash to our world because if you pollute it too much,then I think that it will vanish because of us,the things that we left into the ocean,and we have thrown trash away at the floor and that makes us and the environment and the animals be in a dangerous place.The other thing that I have learned is that we have to reduce,reuse,and recycle.Reducing means that we have to use less of something.Recycle means making them into new p products.Reuse means that we can use them again.I know that if we don't take care of our world then it will become so polluted that,we would not be able to survive like that.The way I help to protect our Earth is too use the Three R's by reducing,reusing,and recycle.I always like try to take care of animals because they need to be in a safe environment for them to not get killed too.I like throw trash away because that will pollute other animals because they like might eat it and then some of the products like plastic can be harmful for them,and then if they like swallow it,then they will die,so I do that everyday because I think that the main reasons for pollution is for is for the trash that is thrown away,so I think that throwing away trash is good for the environment to survive.The ways that I help Earth to be protected is to compost.We compost at school because we don't really want to waste food because we might run out of it,and the coolest thing of composting is because,the plants.The plants can survive that way too,and it's not really nasty for them,like for example the worms.Worms are for them to help them grow too.I think that if we make good decisions of it,then I think that we will together make our world be clean for us,animals,and for our environment.

What Makes Me Smile?

The thing that does makes me smile is my family.They are really funny and they always like fight and they really like get angry at each other and they don't talk to each other until the next day and in my head I say,"Uhhhh adults!"Well,I don't really say that out loud because my mom really is kind of strict and I want her to be jubilant when they talk to each other because if not they would like probably last like a week.Out of all my family the person that makes me laugh the most is my grandma because they stuff to her and then she like gets really mad with my uncle and smacks him with the belt though he has 29 years old like for example yesterday.Yesterday while I was watching T.V, my brother and my uncle were playing with balloons and they accidentally hit my grandma and my grandma got really boiling hot like red hot chilly,and she also got upset like they were laughing and all that stuff.It was real funny!They really do bad things to my grandma and instead of apologizing and picking up the things that they broke,they laugh!Well,sometimes I do bad things to her,but I really help her with the chores sometimes because she is old and has asthma.I help her put clean sheets to the couch,cleaning the kitchen,and vacuuming the living room.I really have a good time with my grandma.The other person is my aunt.Since she speaks now most of the time English,she forgets some of the words in Spanish and does not know how to pronounce them.Like for example,"Cora-coin."Instead she says it like this,"Corrra!"She says the R real hard.She also gets annoyed with me when I make fun of her,because my brother tell her that too.The other thing is that she does not know how to say the words right,like she doesn't know how they are actually said correctly.Those are the things that do make me smile because the way people are,not are,but how they react to another thing.

The Reasons I Like Spring

The things that I do enjoy about Spring is that you get to have one week off school and you can go to different places to visit.The things that really inspire me are that when we see Spring,we see a beautiful view if you are really paying attention to it.When we see Spring,we don't mean like something pretty and that it's too hot,we actually mean like it's really majestic like if you go to Hawaii,lets say the ocean,and you think that it is the most amazing thing that you have seen in the world,well that's when I see Spring,that it is so beautiful,that's what I really think of Spring.It also makes me be jubilant because when I see like a flower or something that has to do with Spring,it doesn't make me feel be alone it makes me feel like I'm like in the sky and that makes my pain go away whatever happens to me because of something.The weather really is really warm and that makes the animals and flowers and other living organisms be in a peaceful environment.You can also feel Spring with touch feel see and smell it and the way you can do all those things is by feeling it.The way you can feel Spring is touch,and how do you do that?Well,you can touch it by touching a flower or an animal in a zoo.How do you smell it?You can smell it by the air because at the time when it is Spring,you can smell the warm sun or the other things that can you smell.How do you feel Spring?You can feel it by the warm air that runs through you body and you can see that when you are in the middle of the wind,it really feels really really refreshing and you sometimes go like,"Ah this really feels good!"Well,I do really go like that because I don't really like it when it's summer because it makes the weather really hot,but I think that Spring is a relaxing season.Those are the reasons I like Spring because it's different from the other seasons!

The time when someone made me feel special

The time when someone made me feel special was when my mom told me,"Be yourself,believe in yourself,and don't be shy."Those words fell into my mind because nobody in my life has told me those words and that is so good that I told my mom,"Thank you mom I will listen to your words that you told me to do!"When I went to school when I was in 5th grade,girls usually made fun of me because I really knew everything because I always payed attention and I always got the answers right the first time.In my head I remembered the words that she told me to do,To believe in myself because if I would've listen to those girls I will be lost,but the other thing that I thought to not listen to them is that they don't even know what they are talking about,but the most important thing was to be myself that's the thing that kept me going!Well,as usual,I did follow those words that she told me.Why did those words made me feel special?Because nobody had told me that and now that I am in 6th grade the thing that I didn't give up on was when I took the TAKS test,I followed my strategies and the most important thing is that I concentrated a lot and I believed in myself that I am going to pass!Guess what?!I did pass!I was so happy that I couldn't stop saying it as if I wouldn't stop saying it like a crazy bee!I believed in myself that I almost cried because of the joyful that I was!That's why I think that some people are really nice of telling you things that make you feel happy and it's more than happy,but I don't know how to explain that mood.That's the reason I felt special that day!I hope I can hear those words again to help me pass the TAKS test for this year!

Characters Cleofilas is the wife of Juan Pedro. She wishes that her life were as charming as the telenovelas, or soap operas, on television. She is abused by her husband and feels trapped and helpless in her situation. She does not want to leave Juan Pedro because he helps support their child. Juan Pedro is married to Cleofilas and is a rude, inconsiderate man. He physically abuses Cleofilas and breaks her precious possessions. Felice is the lady that drives Cleofilas out of town and into freedom so that she may escape her husband's abuse.

The story begins with Cleofilas remembering her marriage and how her father's words of well wishing have much more meaning to her now that she is a mother. Cleofilas looks back to the days before she is married and remembers how happy she was. She got married and moved to Seguin, Texas, and wondered about the creek behind the house and the story behind it. Soon her husband begins beating her and she realizes that her life isn't a dream life. She goes to the doctor and they notice her bruises and arrange for her escape back home.

Character Traits

I'm really little,my hair is straight,and I have glasses.I am like that because my mom and dad are really little.My hair is straight because my aunt has it like that.I have glasses because I used to watch a lot of television and that's why I have to use glasses all the time.One of my character traits are,loving.I'm loving because I love all of my family because they encourage me a lot.I love my teachers because they help me be successful in the TAKS test.I love my brothers and sisters from Jehovah's Witness because they help me be a better person everywhere.My other trait is friendly because I like to hang around with my friends and we like to help each other out with homework that we need help with.In other ways,I like to hang around with people that are older than my parents because I think that they have more experience and know how the world is.They give you good advice and that advice really helps me with something that I need help with.My family traits are caring because they do care about other people like the ones that are having bad luck they can give then advice.Another character trait is they are really respectful.They are really really respectful to others like to the superintendent of Jehovah's Witness they like invite him to a place to eat.They are respectful to the other people like for instance,we don't celebrate the flag of the United States so we have respect for the others that do celebrate it.My friend has a trait and it's,quiet.She doesn't really talk because she is really nervous of people,though she is really nice with people and caring too!Those are my traits,my family's traits,and my friend's trait.

My Goal

My goal for this semester is to get good grades in school.I will explain how I'm going to reach this goal.



I'm going to achieve this goal by studying hard with the objectives I need help with.This goal is so important to me because that will change my life.The people that are going to help me reach this goal are my tutors,which they help me understand more the problems.Also,my teachers they will teach me how to do the problem.My family can help me because I think that they have experience on how the problems are going to look like.I will work my goal in school and at home because in school that's where I'm going to learn them and achieve them.Also,at home because that's where I'm going to study the objectives.When will I achieve my goal?Well,I'm going to achieve them all the time because in middle school I am,high school too,and then in college.If I do,I'll graduate,and have a good job!

I will succeed that goal,so that will change my life.First,I'm going to college,then I'm going to get a good job,but before doing that,I'm going to accomplish that goal!

What kind of pet do I want?

The kind of pet that I want is a dog nothing hard and nothing fancy.Why?Because they are so cute and they really like being with their owners.They are warm and then we are playing with them.I heard once in the television that if you have a dog,you don't get depression because they really entertain you so much and watching them really make you laugh because they are so curious!They are like small children that are playing,but instead they are animals that like don't just give up easily.The hard thing about a dog is,taking care of it.We all now that taking care of a dog we have to have a big responsibility and we have to take care of them so they wont die.Also,they like to take a nice bath so they can be clean,but then when they come out from the bath,SPLASH!They make a huge mess and you don't want to clean it up because he did it.You might want to train it to be obedient to you,and you know the tricks that a dog can make.They can roll,give you a paw,and I have heard that some people teach their dogs how to speak,but in dog language!Can you even imagine dogs speaking to their owners or whoever?!The thing that is so sad is that,you can't keep your dogs forever because then when their time comes they die.Well,when I ask my aunt when do they die?She says,"Well,they die when they sleep too much and their hair start to become white." Well I always tell my mom if we can have a dog,but she says no because we live in an apartment and it's too small for it to live there.Well,you know what they say if you be responsible.I hope that one day I can have a dog!The dog is the pet that I want.
